"has a guy best friend" well men know no better than to imagine everything the dirty way. My best friend is a guy, he was bullied at school and when I saw him sitting alone I said fck it how bad can it be to ask him to hang out with me and my few other friends. We were all females but more than that humans, we saw he was lonely and it's better to have a friend of different gender than to be alone. Getting to know him was awkward (like how it is with every human being) but we kept texting him and hanging out with him, since we knew he had no one else. That's how we learned why he was the "outcast", it was because he was raised in an abusive family. And trauma like that leaves marks that others can notice. He was extremely shy with 0 confidence in himself. And it's always the easiest target that ends up as a victim. Different things happened at now with bro we are best buddies. He likes video games (unlike anyone else in our friend group) and he also watches anime, it's just normal that you hang out with ppl with similar interests the most. And fast forward a lot of ppl mistake us for dating BUT none of us has such motivations. He even got himself a girlfriend. It's just pure friendship
